The Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the escalating violence and emphasized the safety of the Indian diaspora in the region.

 Expressing Solidarity with Oman and Kuwait

Prime Minister Modi spoke with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman and the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.

  • Sympathy for Victims: The PM expressed his heartfelt sympathy regarding the recent attacks carried out by Iran on these nations.

  • Safety of Indians: A primary focus of the conversation was the welfare of the millions of Indian expatriates living and working in Oman and Kuwait. PM Modi sought assurances regarding their safety during these turbulent times.

  • Israel: PM Modi spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, discussing the ongoing military escalations and the need for regional stability.

  • Jordan & UAE: Conversations were held with King Abdullah II of Jordan and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. PM Modi shared India’s grave concerns regarding the worsening humanitarian and security situation in West Asia.
